Traditionally, we have spent a lot more time studying the historical fulfillment of the vision of Daniel 2: the image and the kingdoms it represents. But the Stone in the vision takes up much of the space of the vision. These presentations focus on the stone and its lessons for us. In the war that began in heaven, Satan raised some key questions in every heart and mind:
Is God’s character really selfless or selfish?
Is God’s law really eternal, or can it be changed?
Is God’s government really fair or arbitrary?
Can a merciful God save mankind and still be just?
God’s invitation to us is to join Christ to answer Satan’s questions, disprove Satan’ lies, and destroy his influence and kingdom. That is the broader view of Daniel 2 — so much more than just the prophecy of the 2nd Coming of Christ.
