130. Interview With Pastor Johnson (2012)
Doctor Johnson Swamidoss joins us at our North Idaho home base to share what is currently happening with Laymen Ministries India. Pastor Johnson has been working with us from the earliest stages of beginning to plan the television programming outreach in India. He and Pastor Shadrach Samuel continue to be the speakers for multiple programs that reach around the globe on satellite broadcast, and on local cable outlets and internet. These programs reach people who may not otherwise hear the gospel message. Pastor Johnson shares how these programs coordinate with our Bible workers, evangelism, publishing, and every other aspect of our work in India. People around the world are even contacting our Chennai, India, office to request prayer and share their appreciation and testimonies.

Pastor Johnson also shares the challenges that have arisen due to the expansion of the TV ministry and the need that has grown to have our own media center in India, which will include not only a recording studio, but a lay training center, a bookstore, a worship center, and the offices and prayer center for the TV network.

132. Interview With Samuel Wang (2012)
Samuel Wang has been involved with Laymen Ministries for many years. In this interview at our home offices, Dr. Wang shares his testimony of how he became a Christian and switched his focus from changing China through political means to changing its individuals through the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God. He also shares the deep need the Chinese SDA Church has for training pastors, leaders, and lay workers. The only facility recently to train Adventists in China is the training school operated by Dr. Wang. More than 200 students have graduated since it was first opened, both while it operated openly, and since operating more recently underground. Samuel’s dream, which is gradually becoming reality, is to operate an online training school where Chinese-speaking people anywhere in the world may attend online seminars and classes, or find encouragement through videos, books, Bible studies, and much more to equip them to carry the gospel to others.
