Two Video Mission Reports from Laymen Ministries
86. Interview With Tim & Carissa
Carissa Enson traveled to the Philippines to spend 3 months in a remote village, planning to temporarily fill an empty spot for a teacher. Tim de la Torre traveled to the villages in 2002 as part of a student video team from Pacific Union College whose mission was to document the work of Laymen Ministries in the remote, indigenous villages of Occidental Mindoro. Both felt the call to full time missions, and returned to serve long term. Carissa, at this point, has spent 2 and a half years in the villages, and Tim, after a year as a teacher, returned again assisting the mission directors. In this interview, they share the challenges they have met, the triumphs, and the changes that have been wrought in their lives that will last a lifetime.
87. Youth in Missions #3
Tim de la Torre visits our studio for an interview, sharing the various facets of the mission work he has been involved with in the Philippines. His vivid descriptions and video images of life in the remote villages, the children in our schools, and the changes that have evolved over the last few years will dramatically demonstrate not only the deep need of these native people, but the reason why dedicating time to mission work is such a rewarding, life-changing experience. This is an excellent program to encourage someone you know to get involved in missions.
