Laymen Ministries has two basic projects in the Philippines. One is education focused toward the Katutubo indigenous people who live in remote villages on the island of Occidental Mindoro. We have elementary schools and churches in each of several villages, with several missionaries who act as pastors, teachers and leaders. We also operate a secondary boarding school for graduates from the village. This school has a campus with an agricultural program, Bible training, and some of the best academics in the Philippines!
Every year, we sponsor young adults as Student Missionaries from various countries around the world to go and help teach in the villages. It is part of what we call our Youth in Missions project. To learn more click on Laymen Ministries' Philippines website!
We are in need of missionaries in the Philippines as much as we are in need of funding. So if you are interested — or know someone who might be interested — visit: Missionary Opportunities. and download a missionary application!
Our second project in the Philippines is an extensive prison ministry, also located on the island of Mindoro. If you would like to watch one of our TV programs about this prison ministry simply click on: The Philippines: Washed and Made Clean!
You can learn about this Christ centered educational program, and about how we got started there back in 1993 by clicking on the video below! There are a lot more videos on our YouTube channel as well!
