Since 1993,
Laymen Ministries has been working in the country of Lithuania. We sponsor 8 fBible workers and 2 pastors in full-time ministry. Our Ministry has been responsible for most of the baptisms that have taken place in this small Baltic country over the years.
If you would like to see more about this project click on this line to watch one of our TV programs called
Back in Lithuania! where we share with you the history, culture and our work.
We print an outreach paper entitled Vilties Saltinis (The Source of Hope) which is distributed all over the country of Lithuania. Currently we print over 50,000 copies each quarter. This paper is one of the most effective outreach tools in the country. It is distributed in stores, hospitals, libraries, shelters for the homeless, and many other places. Church and youth groups share this paper door-to-door, and in public during local and national festivals. It costs $3,000 per quarter to print these.
One challenge our workers face is how to find new Bible study candidates. A new idea has been implemented — a lending Library. The workers go door-to-door and offer one of many books we have published, on a lending library plan. They share books and also Amazing Facts Storacles of Prophecy translated into Lithuanian.
All over Lithuania, 1000s of books and pamphlets, as well as our outreach paper, Vilties Saltinis, are being spread door-to-door through our workers and their lending libraries. Please pray for this ministry that the Gospel Message will reach many.
We also sponsor Youth Camps where city and church young people, as well as orphans we have come to know, come to learn about the Bible, talk about hard subjects, share in community projects, and hand out literature! They also have team-building and group discussions!
