Mary Jones lies buried in a humble churchyard, and few know the important part that she played in founding the great institution, the British and Foreign Bible Society, which is now in possession of her Bible. Inside the cover is contained in her own hand writing this statement: “I bought this in the 16th year of my age. Mary Jones, the true owner of this Bible.”
