Laymen Ministries Productions

Laymen Ministries owns and operates a TV production facility and is referred to as LM Productions (Laymen Ministries Productions). This facility produces our programs such as Laymen Ministries and Laymen Ministries’ Cross Talk. These programs are seen on various networks worldwide.

Some Background

Inspired by the late Jim Arrabito, Jeff Reich, Director of Laymen Ministries bought a video camera and began practicing the art of videography. While the vision for publishing had become a reality, and we trusted that God would work to realize a new dream—television production!

God has an interesting way of preparing each of us for our unique work. When Jeff was seventeen, he worked for a television station in Montana. He learned about lighting, switching, cameras and many other skills necessary to manage a video studio. Even his past experience as a rock and roll musician was useful in understanding electronics and sound systems.

Today

Today Laymen Ministries’ TV production facility equipped with the latest in digital technology. Many of our Laymen Ministries programs are like a fast moving travel log where we take to countries around the world, showing you the culture, scenery, and even food. The program pulls you into the heart touching mission outreach of this Ministry. These programs are regularly featured on satellite networks such as 3ABN. We also provide interesting interviews with missionaries and unique laypeople that are doing special things for God. Cross Talk is another program produced for the Hope Channel and other TV networks worldwide. This program features Jeff Reich and Pastor Richard O’Ffill in a fast moving talk program that deals with issues relevant within contemporary Christianity. These programs range subject matter, with topics like: A National ID Card; Christian Entertainment; Family Values; Spiritualism, Dealing with Death; Music; The Self-esteem Movement and much more. Besides producing our regular Laymen Ministries TV programs at this facility, we also do some of the production of our Saving Hands TV program in the Tamil Indian language. This program is broadcast by satellite JAYA TV Network across much of Europe thought Asia and all of India to portions the South Pacific. This culturally adapted program is made to reach the 75 Million views of that network.

Recently we finished a Russian series entitled The Open Book by Pastor Volodia Nesteruk. This complete message presentation is available on DVD and is shown on the Hope Channel International and some cable networks.

About our Facility

While the facility is humble in size, the capabilities of this facility are state of the art. The Lord has blessed with 2 complete Edit bays, audio sound booths with the latest digital recording capabilities; and a studio area for “live edit” shooting using 3 JVC digital cameras running component through a Grass Valley Switcher to a DVC-PRO 644 digital deck.

We have the capabilities to record in NTSC Panasonic MII, Sony DV-Cam; Panasonic DCV-PRO 25 and 50; Sony Beta-Cam. We can convert from any of these formats to PAL onto Sony Beta-Cam. We operate a host of high-end digital audio recording equipment and two Final Cut Pro edit suites using dual-processor MAC G5 computers with raid systems and Kona II cards.

Our studio was not built just for our own personal use. When the Lord impressed us back in 1996 to build a studio, we did so with the purpose in mind of helping other Ministries produce high quality TV programs, DVDs and videos.
