Laymen Ministries Update
You may recall watching one of several programs on 3ABN about “The Apostle to Romania,” Elder Vasile Feresteanu. This man has forsaken all his worldly possessions and committed his life to the distribution of literature, walking hundreds of miles to provide Christ-centered literature to people in Romania, Moldova, the Ukraine and Russia. He was especially committed to helping young people with these “little preachers,” and to encouraging them to memorize the Scriptures. Elder Feresteanu has dedicated large portions of the Bible to memory. If you have not seen the amazing interview with Elder Feresteanu, where we test his abilities on Bible memorization, please contact our office and request Video #3, The Apostle to Romania. It will motivate you to spend time in putting to remembrance the Word of God!

On a 3ABN Presents program, Elder Feresteanu offered his only remaining possession—a rare old violin from Romania—to be given away to the highest donor. These funds were to be used for the printing of thousands of pieces of literature for Russia and the Ukraine. Danny and Linda Shelton had a special promotion for the violin on 3ABN, and God sent a gentleman who gave a generous $20,000 donation! These funds were sent to our ministry and with some additional funding added by some of you who wanted to be part of this project, we went to press in Russia, printing 312,500 booklets! 100,000 are in the Ukrainian language and 212,500 in Russian. These booklets are the Gospel of John combined with some other materials to be handed out in public schools across Russia and the Ukraine. We praise God that His Word will be spread like the leaves of autumn in these countries, especially among young people. Surely we may “Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.” Ecclesiastes 11:1.

We praise God for His work. The old saying is “God’s work, done in God’s way, will never lack God’s means!” And this is true. When one reviews the life of George Muller, the supporter of thousands of orphans and needy children in England, we see that God may not always supply an over abundance, but when the time comes for a need to be met, He does it! Praise God for each one of His blessings!
